Add €1 per ticket issued online and, if you buy up to the day before, a 12% advance-sale fee (minimum €1) per item. The fare table does not say whether the vehicle price includes the driver. All fares in euros (EUR).
Naples has more than one departure point for Capri, and the one you need depends on the company. Caremar, which runs this route under a public-service contract with the Campania region, leaves from Calata Porta di Massa, not from Molo Beverello. From Porta di Massa it runs two kinds of boat with separate fares: a conventional car ferry, shown on the board, and the TMV, a fast ferry that also carries vehicles, listed in the note below the board. Caremar puts both Naples piers about 2 km from the central railway station at Piazza Garibaldi.
The car ferry timetable changes on 4 November 2026. After that date and until 31 December 2026 the same times apply every day, Sundays and holidays included, while the TMV departures do not change. Allow 75 to 87 minutes on the car ferry and 40 to 60 minutes on the TMV. Caremar has published nothing beyond 31 December 2026.
An adult single is €14.80 on the car ferry and €21.50 on the TMV. If you are not a Capri resident, the island's landing fee is charged on top: €2.50 from 1 November to 31 March and €5.00 from 1 April to 31 October, under a Capri council resolution of 12 January 2024, and Caremar adds it to the ticket. Online tickets cost €1 extra each, and buying up to the day before adds a 12% advance-sale fee, at least €1 per item.
Driving over is restricted. Regional decree no. 22 of 25 March 2026 keeps non-residents' vehicles, rental cars included, off Capri from 30 March to 2 November 2026 and again from 28 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Exceptions include vehicles with a disabled badge and foreign-registered cars driven by an owner, or a member of the owner's family, who lives abroad.
The SNAV and NLG hydrofoils to Capri sail from Molo Beverello and need their own tickets. Gescab's timetable shows the two firms alternating month by month on several sailings from 4 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Caremar has ticket offices at both piers. Online sales close 90 minutes before departure for foot passengers and seven hours before with a car, and you still collect a boarding card at the office or kiosk. You arrive at Marina Grande, a few hundred metres from the funicular and the island's main bus station.
- Get to the port in good time: vehicle boarding closes before departure, and some companies ask passengers to arrive earlier.
- Check the operator's notices on the day — bad weather, rough seas, strikes or works can change or cancel sailings.
- Check where and how to buy your ticket before you travel; some islands add a landing fee to the fare.
