Standard Caremar single fares. On top come the Procida landing fee (Caremar lists it among its surcharges; the amount charged shows in your total), €1 per ticket issued online and, if you buy up to the day before travel, a 12% advance-sale fee (minimum €1) on each item. Children travel free on the car ferry until their 4th birthday and on the hydrofoil until their 2nd; reduced fares apply up to age 12. The fare table does not say whether the vehicle price includes the driver. All fares in euros (EUR).
Between Pozzuoli and Procida, Caremar runs two separate services under a public-service contract with the Campania region: a car ferry and a passenger-only hydrofoil. This page tracks the car ferry. The hydrofoil has its own times and its own fare, and you will find it in the notes under the board.
Between 30 October and 31 December 2026 the Caremar timetable repeats every day, weekends and public holidays included: three car ferries in each direction, taking 25 to 30 minutes, plus one morning hydrofoil each way. Caremar has not opened any sailings after 31 December 2026, so check its timetable again before planning a January trip.
An adult single costs €9.50 on the car ferry and €10.70 on the hydrofoil. Three extras can be added to that: the Procida landing fee, which Caremar lists among its surcharges and which the town council sets; €1 for each ticket issued online; and a 12% advance-sale fee, at least €1 per item, if you buy up to the day before you sail. Children ride the car ferry free until they turn four and the hydrofoil free until they turn two.
Online sales close 90 minutes before departure for foot passengers and seven hours before for vehicles. An online ticket still has to be checked in: you collect the boarding card at the Caremar ticket office of the departure port, or at a self-service kiosk there, and after check-in the ticket can no longer be changed or refunded. In Pozzuoli the Caremar office is on the Banchina Emporio quay, and the port can be reached on the Metropolitana FS line and the Circumflegrea railway. On Procida you land at Marina Grande, a few hundred metres from the main bus stop.
If you are thinking of bringing a car, note that the Campania region's decree no. 23 of 25 March 2026 kept non-residents' vehicles off the island from 30 March to 15 October 2026, with listed exceptions. Bicycles go on car ferries and TMV fast ferries only, not on the hydrofoil. Passengers who need assistance must book and tell Caremar at least 48 hours ahead. Medmar also sells tickets on this crossing, with its own times and fares.
- Get to the port in good time: vehicle boarding closes before departure, and some companies ask passengers to arrive earlier.
- Check the operator's notices on the day — bad weather, rough seas, strikes or works can change or cancel sailings.
- Check where and how to buy your ticket before you travel; some islands add a landing fee to the fare.
